Lisa Jensen, Cayucos Elementary School Principal, can be reached at [email protected]. Ms. Jensen welcomes students and parents to visit with her in her office which is located in the Main Building across from the Library. Ms. Jensen brings a wealth of experience in classroom instruction, intervention and curriculum.

One of the many responsibilities of the principal is the School Accountability Report Card, issued by local school boards for every school in the state, provides parents and the community with a variety of information about the school, its resources, its successes, and the areas in which improvements are needed. The information contained in this report card (SARC) is for the 2024-2025 school year. As you read through this report for Cayucos Elementary School, I believe you will find that our school has a solid record of achievement, a faculty that is professionally skilled and personally committed to meeting the learning needs of students, a student body that is motivated to perform well, and an amazingly supportive parent/community. Dear Cayucos Elementary Families,

I am honored to introduce myself as the Interim Principal for the upcoming school year. As both a proud parent of two students at Cayucos Elementary and a member of this school community for the past 13 years, it is a true privilege to step into this role. I look forward to continuing to serve the students, staff, and families I care about so deeply.

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to serve our school in many ways, including teaching in the classroom, providing schoolwide literacy support, coordinating our Student Study Team, and overseeing schoolwide assessments. Each of these roles has deepened my understanding of our students’ needs, our programs, and the close-knit culture that makes Cayucos such a special place to learn (and teach!).

As we begin the school year, my priorities are to keep our school a safe and welcoming place for every child, to support excellent teaching and learning, and to strengthen the partnerships between home and school that are so vital to our students’ success. I’m excited to work alongside our Superintendent, Jen Gaviola, our dedicated staff, and all of you to make sure every student feels supported, inspired, and motivated to succeed.

I am excited to see our students back on campus, ready to learn, grow, and enjoy another great year!
