Interested in serving the Cayucos community?
The candidate filing period for the Cayucos Elementary School District (CESD) Board of Trustees opens July 13, 2026, and closes August 7, 2026, through the San Luis Obispo County Clerk-Recorder’s Elections Office.
This November, voters will elect trustees for Trustee Areas 1, 2, and 3. Elected trustees will serve four-year terms and help shape the future of the Best Little Beach School.
To qualify, candidates must:
• Be at least 18 years old
• Be a U.S. citizen
• Be a registered voter residing within the boundaries of the Cayucos Elementary School District
• Live in the trustee area they wish to represent
• Not be legally disqualified from holding civil office
Serving on the Board of Trustees is a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact on the students, staff, and families of our community.
