Dear Cayucos Community,

Welcome to the 2026-27 school year at Cayucos Elementary School!

As we begin another exciting year together, I want to thank our incredible students, families, staff, Board of Trustees, and community partners for making Cayucos such a special place to learn and grow. Our greatest strength has always been our people, and together we continue to prove that when a community works as one team, extraordinary things happen.

I am incredibly proud to share that for the second consecutive year, Cayucos Elementary School has been recognized as the #1 Elementary School and #1 Middle School in San Luis Obispo County. We were also ranked #14 among all K-8 schools in California, a reflection of the dedication, passion, and commitment of our entire school community. While we celebrate these accomplishments, our focus remains on what matters most—our students. Every decision we make is centered on providing an exceptional educational experience where every child is known, valued, challenged, and supported.

This year we will continue to strengthen our parent partnerships and community partnerships, recognizing that student success is built through collaboration. We invite families to be active participants in their children's education by volunteering, attending school events, sharing ideas, and celebrating learning alongside us. Together, we create opportunities that no school can accomplish alone.
